Outdoor photography is my passion; whatever the weather, there is always an opportunity to photograph beautiful scenes of the Canadian Rockies.

This truly is one of the more beautiful scenes in the world, Castle Mountain, Bow Valley Parkway, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. A view of Castle Mountain just before sunrise. The clouds are dancing around Castle Mountain coving some of the peaks. Did you know that behind Castle Mountain, there are beautiful lakes and waterfalls? When hiking behind Castle Mountain in the summer, there are so many wildflowers that you would think that you are in a flower shop. However, seeing Castle Mountain in the winter is a different experience than seeing it in the summer. You can see this winter landscape image of Castle Mountain in Banff National Park, just off Highway 93.

The previous morning, a small amount of snow came down the previous night and covered all of the tracks from visitors. The fresh snow added a pristine white layer to this beautiful landscape and enhanced the peaceful and serene view of Castle Mountain.

The Canadian Rockies offer many spectacular views that are beyond explanation unless you have visited Banff National Park, Lake Louise or other locations in the Rockies.
